The Public Range, Smallbore Range, Practical range and the High Power 200, 300 and 500yards line is closed

RANGE CLOSURE

The City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department will be conducting a removal on the water tower south of Phoenix Rod and Gun Club starting Monday July 29, 2024, for an estimated four-week project.

This will impact the club by causing a cease-fire on all south facing ranges Monday through Friday all morning until 3 PM. Members can use the ranges normally Monday through Friday after 3 PM until sundown.

East facing ranges will be unaffected. Also evening sanctioned events and the entire weekend will be unaffected by this closure. The 300yard line will be closed the entire duration because the temporary fencing obstructs line of sight to the targets. HP 500yd line long range practice times will continue only on Wed & Sun 3pm To Sundown.

July & August Temporary Club Closure Schedule:

• Monday through Friday from 7AM until 3PM, The Public Range, Smallbore Range, Practical range and the High Power 200, 300 and 500yards line is closed
• Monday through Friday from 3pm to Sundown: Those ranges will reopen to normal activities and operation hours. Including normal HP 500yd member practice block times.
• High power 300yard line closed until further notice.

***Weekends: No changes to regular schedule or access.

***East shooting pistol caliber Ranges are unaffected and will remain accessible for now.

***Evening sanctioned events are unaffected.

This is to ensure the safety of the individuals on the mountainside. If we are unable to abide by this arrangement, then we may be forced to shut down club activities until the parks project is complete. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
